Three motifs framed in ovals are reproduced on the reverse. The left oval contains a view of the main façade of the Cathedral of Toledo; the right oval shows an image of María de Molina, from a painting kept in the Monastery of Santa María la Real de Huelgas in Valladolid; and the lower one reproduces a detail of the Triforio Poniente stained glass window of the Leon Cathedral. Comments

The Royal Mint issues the fifth, and last, series of collector coins from the "Ages of Europe" European minting programme, consisting of a gold coin and a silver coin. On this occasion, the collection is dedicated to Gothic. In addition to Spain, Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Malta and Portugal participate in this European minting programme. In order to unite the programme and make it a genuine collection, one of the sides of the coins has a common design; in the case of Spain, it is the side of the obverse.
The first issue in 2016 was dedicated to Contemporary Europe; the one in 2017, to the Age of Steel and Glass; in 2018 was dedicated to Baroque and Rococo; and the last issue, in 2019, to Reinassance.
The collection consists of two coins minted in proof quality, one gold and one silver, with the same designs on the front and back, except that the latter has color motifs. They are presented in elegant jewellery cases and can be purchased individually.
