There is uncertainty about the attribution of this type. Originally, it was said to be a Vietnamese issue, which matched light size and weight; however, that attribution was within a list of uncertain types. Based on spot-finds, which all correspond to Liao territories, the leading opinion is that these are issues of the Liao dynasty.
