Obverse

The founding Father of the ROC, Dr, Sun Yat-sen, above whom is the inscription: "In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Republic of China.""

Lettering: 念紀年十八國建國民華中

Reverse

It consists of a traditional Chinese plum blossom inside of which are four "double ten" symbols representing the eighty years that have passed since the ROC was born. Eighty Dots, one for each year, form a circle close to the edge of the coin.
