Comments

Due to rampant inflation in the 1980's and 1990's, the government of Ecuador abandoned the Sucre in 2000 and adopted the United States Dollar. These coins where introduced to supplement the circulation of the 1 Cent coin.

This coin appears to have been issued in 2000 only; 2004 issue is still doubtful and needs confirmation.
