Released by the Royal Australian Mint is this NCLT Copper-nickel 14 sided coin. The coin was released in a folding coincard. This the eleventh 50 cent Lunar Year commemorative 14 sided Tetra-Decagon coin. This is the only RAM series with this shaped coin.

As the Chinese Lunar Calendar ushers in the Year of the Tiger, the RAM's innovative tetra-decagon series continues with its eleventh annual release. The Chinese Lunar Calendar is a twelve-year cycle. Each year is represented by a different animal, each with its own distinct personality. People born within each lunar year are believed to possess the qualities of that year’s animal, using those traits to achieve success and happiness throughout life.
