This Copper-nickel coin was released by the Royal Australian Mint to commemorate and celebrate the Accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II. 2012 is sixty years since her Accession to the throne in 1952 so this is the Diamond Jubilee.  The coin was issued in this Coincard.

A Fine Silver (.999) Proof version of the coin was released in a plush box.
