Comments

Obsidional coin struck by the Austrian occupant during the siege by the French revolutionary troops. This 72 sous Kronthaler was struck during the first months of 1795. The number 13 indicates the weight of the fine metal: 13 "löthig" (lot) corresponding to the silver title of 812.5 ‰.

The weights vary strongly (27.06 - 32.40 g.)

Two different dies exist for this piece; the legends are absolutely the same but the arrangement of the engraving varies very slightly.

A variant in medal alignment is known. Its rating is 25% higher than the coin alignment.
