Corner variant without final numeral. Contrary to the opinion of some authors, this coin comes from a manufacturing error of the Monnaie de Paris which was made in 1808 and which was put into circulation as shown by the strong wear of our copy. It is therefore in no way a pre-series or a trial. The exact quantity of these coins put into circulation is unknown.
