Engraver: Manuel Marín Jimeno

Manuel Marín Jimeno was one of the great historical figures of the FNMT, a genius engraver and tireless worker, whose career was linked to Tomás Francisco Prieto, Gil and Maura. Manuel Marín Jimeno was already an employee of the Fábrica Nacional in the midst of the Civil War, being expelled in 1939 and reinstated shortly after the end of the war, modifying and adapting the coins designed by Benlliure for General Franco in such a firm and magnificent way that they became the bust of Franco's coins until the 1960s. At the same time he was a founding member of the magazine "La Estampa" (1911-1914), although he did not produce any engravings.
