Obverse
Portrait of George Washington in the center, and on the right, the SS Sirius which is the first transatlantic ship with mixed propulsion launched in 1837. This small ship made the first crossing of the Atlantic entirely by steam. It linked Cork (Ireland) to New York (United States) in 1838.
