This NCLT $1 coin was issued by the RAM in 2008 in a coincard.
It acknowledges the remarkable work, commitment, and achievements of thousands of Australia's border security staff who protect the country inspecting mail, cargo, air and sea passengers, live animals, imports and exports. This commemorative coin marks 100 years since the introduction of the Australian Quarantine Act. Protective services also use Beagles and Labradors in their fight to detect and destroy potential harm before it enters the country. You can find these AQIS detector dogs at airports, mail centers, and seaports.
The coin was also released by Australia Post in a PNC.
