Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, KCVO, usually known as Bertram Mackennal, was an Australian sculptor, most famous for designing the coinage and stamps bearing the likeness of King George V. Signature: "BM".

The coat of arms of Australia was first granted by Edward VII in 1908. However, by 1912 George V made changes to the overall design but the cast of arms remained unchanged on sixpence coins minted during his reign.
