Comments

In 1792 the Directorate of the West Indies requested the king to have coins struck as was done for the East Indies. With resolution 31-12-1793 this request was permitted.
The intention was to put these coins into circulation for an extra of 20%, although it is uncertain if this was actually done. It is certain that 200 of these 3 Guilder coins were shipped to Gold Coast (nowadays Guinea).
