Comments

The Acropolis of Athens is one of the most admirable historical, cultural and architectural sites in the world, it's monuments provide a link to an age that played a crucial role in the formation of western civilisation and have been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for architecture and the arts over the centuries. The object of providing a museum environment worthy of the history of the Acropolis has been pursued since the establishment of the Modern Greek State. Today, the Acropolis Museum is strategically located close to the southern slope of the Sacred Rock and ideally comes to everyone's expectations. With state-of-art facilities custom designed to house the Acropolis treasures, the New Museum offers an excellent view of the Acropolis, enabling visitors to admire the exhibits in their historical setting. Ample natural light ensures viewing conditions similar to those on the Acropolis and the Museum's construction above the archeological site of an ancient Athenian neighborhood makes a visit the the Museum a unique experience.
