Comments

The Cathedral of San Salvador de Oviedo, also known as Sancta Ovetensis, was built from the end of the 13th century until the middle of the 16th century, although during the 17th and 18th centuries other buildings were added. The Cathedral is located in the same place of an old Romanesque temple of which some testimonies are preserved, such as the Romanesque tower and a room called the Holy Chamber. The Holy Chamber, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1998, preserves the Cross of Victory, symbol of Asturias, and the Cross of the Angels, symbol of the city of Oviedo.
