Comments

The polar bear is as white and powerful as the snow and ice that shaped North America. According to some researchers, it is descended from the same ancestor as the grizzly bear, but the polar bear began evolving around 150,000 years ago to live in the Arctic. Its Latin name (Ursus maritimus) reflects the fact that it spends most of its life on the Arctic pack ice, feeding on seals. The polar bear has acquired a highly developed sense of smell to locate seals under the snow. Its claws and fangs are also designed to hunt and eat its prey of choice. Features reflecting its adaptation to the Arctic include dense layers of fat, fur-covered paws and thick white fur that serves as camouflage, making it almost invisible in the snow. However, on this colorfully patterned piece, the polar bear appears to us in all his majesty, to our delight.

Packaging:
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a padded burgundy double-shell case adorned with the Royal Canadian Mint logo. This is accompanied by a black protective sleeve.Automatically translated
