Obverse

A female bust with long, flowing hair is engraved beneath the word "Liberty", and the left and right sides of the bust are surrounded by encircling stars -- seven on the left side and six on the right.

Reverse

An eagle crest with the motto "E pluribus unum" on a banner held in the eagle's mouth. In one talon it holds a plant, and in the other it holds arrows. Above the eagle's head, between its upstretched wings, is an inverted triangle of stars. Above the crest reads "United States of America", and below the crest reads "One ounce AVP 999 copper".
