Silver Mohar minted by the Yoga ruler Narendra Malla who reigned from AD 1685 to AD 1705, he was King of Patan in the Malla kingdom of Lalitpur (Patan). This coin is one of two mohars issued in the name of two queens, Narendra Lakshmi Devi and Pratapa Lakshmi Devi. Reference KM#337, Rhodes-393, Year: NS 805 (AD 1685).
On the obverse, the swastika (Hindu religious symbol in the form of a cross with bent branches pointing left or right) is formed of squares. The legend "Sri 3 Lokanath, Sri Sri Yoga Narendra Malla Deva, Samgitarnnava paraga" is interwoven.
On the reverse, two intersecting triangles form a rhombus. In the center of the rhombus is a vermilion box with a bucket of conch and mace (the husk of the mucad nut, used as a condiment). A legend is interwoven around it: "Sri Narendra Lakshmi Devi, Sri Pratapa Lakshmi Devi, 805".
