John Flanagan (1865–1952)was a sculptor who was known for his designs for coins and medals.
William C. Cousins born in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) the 13 July 1930. Staff sculptor at the Franklin Mint (1967-1990), rose from art director to director of sculpture, where the firm claimed he heads "the largest studio of medallists in the world." He joined the U.S. Mint in 1990 as staff engraver and retired a decade later in 2000.

A Carolina wren on a branch of yellow jessamine and a palmetto tree against an outline of the state is accompanied with the state's name ("SOUTH CAROLINA"), the date of its admission into Union ("1788"), its nickname ("THE PALMETTO STATE") and the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM"

Thomas D. Rogers (born 1945) is a former sculptor and engraver for the United States Mint and designer of several U.S. coins, including the reverse of the 2000-2008 U.S. Golden Dollar or Sacagawea Dollars. Coins, including the reverse of the U.S. Golden Dollar coins or Sacagawea dollars from 2000-2008. Rogers holds an A.A.S. degree with a major in commercial art. He joined the U.S. Mint in October 1991, worked in the Philadelphia Mint facility and retired in 2001. From 2003 he lived in Long Beach, Washington, and from 2009 he lived and worked in Oregon. His design for the Sacagawea dollar was slightly modified before it came into circulation.
