Comments

During WWII these coins were struck in Philadelphia, USA. The same coins were struck for the mainland of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The coins for Suriname (and Curacoa) and the Netherlands have a different mark though. The marks are an acorn (mainland of the Netherlands) and a palm tree (overseas territories of the Kingdom).

A 1942 variety also exists, which can be found in the Curaçao index. These coins were emitted in Curaçao as well as Suriname.
