Engraver: Charles Edward Barber

Charles Edward Barber was the sixth Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1879 until his death in 1917. Although Barber's coins were met with mixed reviews, he had a long and fruitful career in coinage, designing most of the coins used at the mint during his time as Chief Engraver.

Comments

The main mints of the world carried out a special mintage program on 1995 to celebrate the 5th. Anniversary of the creation of the United Nations organization.
Cuban coins with face value 1 Peso were minted at Havana, silver 10 Pesos were minted at the Royal Mint in London, that was the sponsor of the program.
