The coins struck in 1650 were issued by Charles II. However, they are indistinguishable from those that were issued during the reign of Charles I.

There are varieties in which 'IMPVNE' in the reverse legend is rendered as 'INPVNE' (see above example), 'INPNE' or 'IMPNE'.
