Two varieties according to Krause:
KM # 898.1: 21mm, heavy (2,65gr) to thick flank (1,5mm)
KM # 898.2: 21.3mm, light (2.46g) thin-walled (1.3mm)
Heavy (thick) and light (fine) variants, even if they are collected, are irrelevant. The differences in weight and thickness are due to the conjecture of the time:
- the zinc used is often of poor quality
- the material used for the manufacture of blanks and the striking is little renewed, especially for rolling
- the pressing need for cash lowers the quality requirements to increase the rate of production
- ipse facto, the tolerance and the differences of weight increase.
To calculate this difference according to the specifications:
- theoretical weight of 2.5 gr
- tolerance granted of 50 thousandths
2.5 / 1000x50 = 0.125 gr
Minimum acceptable weight: 2,5 - 0,125 = 2,375 gr
Maximum weight accepted: 2,5 + 0,125 = 2,625 gr
Therefore, the weight of these currencies can be between 2,375 gr and 2,625 gr to be in accordance with the specifications of manufacture. Coins whose weights are in this range are normal and given the conjecture, we can assume that currencies exceeding this range could be accepted, perhaps between 2.2 and 2.8 grams.

Values in the table above are expressed in USD. They are based on evaluations by Numista users and sales realized on Internet platforms. They serve as a measure, but they are not intended to be relied upon for buying, selling or exchanging. Numista does not buy or sell coins or banknotes.
Frequencies show the percentage of Numista users who own each year or variety among all the users who own this coin. Since some users own several versions, the sum may be greater than 100%.
