Centenary of the Academy of the "Guardia di Finanza"

Obverse

Inside a circular folded ribbon with a central element bearing the inscription in incuse are two different buildings. In the upper part, the Royal Palace of Caserta (first headquarters of the Academy in 1896), in the lower part the present headquarters of the GdF Academy in Bergamo. Below the author's indication.

In the field: in the upper part, the coat of arms of the Guardia di Finanza with above a banner with the agency motto. On the right of the arms the year 1896 and on the left the mint mark. The Guardia di Finanza is an Italian law enforcement agency under the authority of the Minister of Economy and Finance. It is a militarized police force, forming a part of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Guardia di Finanza is essentially responsible for dealing with financial crime and smuggling.
"NEC RECISA RECEDIT" is the motto of the Guardia di Finanza.
