This NCLT Aluminium-bronze $1 colourised coin was released in a coincard by the RAM in 2015 as part of a six coin series of ANZAC themed Animals at War coins.



This coin shows the Feline Mascot of the HMAS Encounter sitting in a gunbarrel of the ship. Cats are regarded as lucky charms, weather forcasters or champion rat catchers on Navy Ships and provide welcome companionship to the sailors on the ships they live on.
