Comments

This coin was released as part of the RAM 2016 Mint and Proof Sets and commemorates the Changeover 50 years ago to decimal currency in Australia. It is unusual in that the Obverse of the coin has a miniature Ian Rank-Broadly Queens Head and a representation of an Australian Crown coin (5 Shillings) as issued in 1937 &  1938. The Reverse of the coin is the same as a standard definitive 2 Dollar coin. This coin was also released as a circulation coin in 2016 alongside the normal definitive version.

This was the UNC Mint Set.

The RAM issued a "Push in Folder" for collectors to keep all six of the "Changeover" circulating coins:

An UNC version of the coin was included in the 30th Anniversary of the Two Dollar Coin (1988-2018) Set dated 2018:

A Proof version of the coin (Dated 2018) was included in the three coin proof set celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the $2 coin in 2018.

Also released by Australia Post as a Postal Numismatic Cover  (2016 Issue 05)
