Translation: The Prince and the people of Juvavum
Zöttl presents this coin in a commemorative serie from 12 Ducat to this 5 kreuzer, for the 1200 anniversary of the monastery. However, 1200 years before 1792, nothing happens in Salzburg. The rebirth of Juvavum due to St Ruppert was around 700 AD, a century later. If we consider the word "Jubilaeum" to refer to 50 year periods, then we talk of 600th anniversary, and hence probably the consecration of the former cathedral to St Peter in 1147. The word "Dom" in Austria is used for Cathedrals and the Salzburger Dom is actually St Peter.
