Obverse

Portrait half size with armour that forms an angle forward, with sceptre at right hand, inner circle. Crown reaching the rim.

Lettering: FERDINANDVS D G ARCHIDVX AVSTRIÆ

Reverse

Composite armes with Styrian shield at center, chain of the golden fleece around, date divided by the crown on top.

Lettering: DVX BVRGVNDIÆ STYRIÆ Z date

Ferdinand was Erzherzog of Innerösterreich until 1618 and was elected Emperor of the Romans in 1619. This coin was minted under his authority as Archduke.
