Engraver: Raphael David Maklouf

Raphael David Maklouf is a sculptor, best known for designing the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II used on the coins of many Commonwealth nations. Maklouf was born in Jerusalem emigrating with his family to the United Kingdom after the Second World War. He attended the Camberwell School of Art until 1958, afterward becoming an academic lecturer for ten years. He was made an Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1979. Raphael Maklouf was born to a Jewish family. His father is Samuel Maklouf, born in Safed, Raphael Makouf's mother is Leonie Maklouf.


Coat of Arms of the Northern Territory:
A central shield representing Tenny, a female aboriginal figure & motifs, supported by two red Kangaroos. Sturt's Desert Rose growing from below. Above the Shield a Wreath & Wedge Tailed Eagle grasping a Tjurunga stone.

Wojciech Pietranik, born 25 March 1950, is a Polish artist and sculptor best known for his design work for coins and medals.

Released by the RAM in 1992 to commemorate the Northern Territory is this $10 Sterling Silver Proof (.925) coin. It was released in a capsule in plush pink case.

Uncirculated versions were also released in a Large coloured Coincard.

This 1992 $10 coin is the seventh in a series which features the coat of arms of the individual States and Territories of the Commonwealth of Australia. The coin features the official Northern Territory Coat of Arms.

The Northern Territory is home to a multitude of Australia's precious national treasures. Ayers Rock, Kakadu National Park & Katherine Gorge to name a few. Every year hundreds and thousands of tourists flock to experience the arid, mystical regions of the Red Centre, the lush tropical wetlands of the Top End, and all of the amazing and beautiful sights in between.
