Coins from the Principality of Epirus and Corfu

Philip of Taranto received Lepanto as dowry from his wife Thamar, the daughter of Nikephoros I Komnenos Doukas, Despot of Epirus (1267-1297). Philip set up a mint and adopted the same coinage system as that of the Principality of Achaea, but his series of denier tournois were substantially lighter.
