Coins from the Qatabanian Kingdom

Qataban was an ancient Yemeni kingdom, centred around the Baihan valley. The capital was the city of Timna, on the trade route that passed through the other southern Arabian kingdoms of Hadramaut, Saba' and Ma'in. The king of Qataban held the title of title of "Mukarrib". The kingdom existed between the 8th century BC and the 3rd century AD.
