The Suebi were a Germanic people who established a kingdom in the northwest of the Iberian peninsula from 409 to 585. Their capital was Bracara, modern Braga, Portugal. Most of the known coins are imitations of solidus and tremissis in the name of the western Roman emperors Honorius and Valentinian III. The only own coins are a siliqua of the king Rechiar, and a solidus in the name of Honorius minted in Braga. There was also a coin attributed to king Andeca.
