Coins from the City of Thann

Thann was granted city rights in 1360, but never had the character of an imperial city. Consequently, the minting right that she exercised could not be her property, but she minted coins by order and in the name of the sovereign of the Landgraviate of Upper Alsace, under her own coat of arms.
