World Coins and Banknotes. I am interested in many different kinds of coins and banknotes I get my coins and banknotes from previous holidays, from my local bank and bought online in bulk lots. My goal is to collect at least three coins from every modern country that has existed since the 1900s in the world but I do accept coins that predate 1900.
I am a amateur collector only been collecting coins and banknotes on and off since 2012. But since late 2019 early 2020 I’ve got more interested into collecting coins and notes but then my collection became too large for just noting each coin on paper so I created this account to put all of my collection on.
I try to grade my coins and notes the best as I can by using my own grading system
G: Coin really worn or heavily corroded most detail gone but is still identifiable.
VG: Coin in ok shape commonly in the condition of a coin that has been in circulation for 30-50 years or has moderate corrosion.
F: Coin is in average circulation condition with at least 85% detail present.
VF: Coin in brilliant condition with virtually all details present and has some lustre present.
XF: Coin is in excellent condition with all details present and has at least 50% lustre present but with some marks from circulation.
AU: Coin in almost uncirculated condition with 75% lustre but has small visible marks from use.
UNC: Coin in uncirculated condition with little to no handling markings.
G: The note in poor condition with fold marks, stains and occasionally tears in the banknote.
VG: Note in decent condition with lots of folds and some stains.
F: Banknote in average circulation condition for its age with some folds.
VF: Note in better shape with only little to none fold marks present.
XF: Banknote in brilliant condition with very few handling marks present.
AU: Note in almost uncirculated condition that has no marks but has been in circulation at some point.
UNC: Banknote in uncirculated condition and has not been used in any transaction.
Coins and banknotes I don’t have or from country’s that I’ve got less that three coins from. Commemorative coins from the tougher countries such as Cuba, Democratic people’s republic of Korea and more.
Coins that interest me such as silver coins in at least F condition and coins that has coins on it. Cars, trains and planes on coins are my biggest interest.
