"51,521,505 were struck between 1869-73, all dated 1868"

This number seems very large to me. And it's not listed in the list of minted coins from 1868 which shows only 36000 minted and it says "rare"

"1868 48000 38% Minted from 1868 to 1873"
That seems to make more sense.
Where does this claim of 51521505 coins minted 1869-73 come from and how come they are not listed in the mintage like in

?
This seems to list the number

I'm sceptical to this claim 51,521,505 coins in 5 years seems enormous considering that in previous years most of the coinage was 500000 per year or less.
I just removed it. It is almost sirely an error, but we do not know exact value.
