Numisdoc closure

Hello,

Numisdoc has been part of Numista since 2011. Over the years, very few articles have been posted, with inconsistent content and quality. It didn't become a good numismatic encyclopedia, and will probably never be under the current format. So I took the decision to close Numisdoc.

The articles with the list of mints, reference catalogues, edges and shapes have been moved to the catalogue. You will find the links below the search form.

The articles about how to use Numista have been transformed and moved to the Documentation centre. This new section of Numista aims at providing documentation only about how Numista works.

The other articles are kept in archive mode only, at the same address, but without a link in the menu. No new article will be posted and current articles will not be updated.
Sad to see it didn't work out I would especially liked to see the fakes department to live another time.

Calendars might be important too and would fit under the search.
Also 'Documentation' is kinda long and could mean many things 'FAQ' could be appropriate. It's used all over the internet so people should be accustomed to it.
Maybe just one link hidden somewhere say under Documentation --> Miscellaneous --> "What happened to Numisdoc?"
I tried to enter my counterfeit coins years ago, but it didn't work at all!

It is really a shame that the date calculator was removed I used that a lot. Hopefully you can add that somewhere else since I am sure I am not the only one that will miss that.

Yes please. It would be great to have that back.

Agree. That and the "Determining the metal of a coin" was what drove my original request above.
Thanks for your feedback!
I added an article on the documentation centre containing the link to Numisdoc, and I changed the name in the menu to "FAQ".
The calendars could be added again in the future, probably integrated in the catalogue, like the mint pages.
Yes, just seen the change

Those last two also include graphics, which helps as unsure of some of them.
