Love the details on the note! :)

Is that a nuke exploding in the distance on the reverse beside the Polish Eagle, or a cloud formation, I wonder.

A reflection of the current foreign policy of some of Poland’s eastern neighbours lacking a certain degree of subtlety perhaps.

That is the dictatorships in Minsk & Moscow, which are a serious threat to security in eastern Europe in general, not only in Ukraine.

Politika sem nepatrí. Ak už chcete dať si tam vojnového zločinca, ale Národného hrdinu Ukrajiny Banderu.

Translation, google translate:

"Politics does not belong here. If you want to put a war criminal, put the National Hero of Ukraine Bandera"

.

.

1. Your reply is off topic.

2. My post was deliberately non-sectarian.

3. BCNumismatics' post is an accurate reading of the situation on the eastern border of Poland, imo.

4. Your reply contradicts itself.
- You start by stating 'Politics does not belong here'.
- You then follow by making a very political statement with reference to Bandera being made a National Hero of Ukraine (I looked up Bandera https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepan_Bandera).

The status of National Hero was removed from him shortly thereafter.

You failed to mention this full story behind your statement, taking only the part of the story which supports your argument, which as you do not state implicitly, we are to infer from your statement I presume.

5. And back on topic, the theme of the banknote is that of the 'defence of the eastern border', which reflects Poland's current position with regard to its eastern border, in that it needs to be defended in the east.

People can make up their own minds as to the current situation on the eastern border of Poland. Those of us who are banknote collectors will add the note to our collection.

If you feel like discussing politics, perhaps you should open a topic in the Free discussion section.

Takže omilostený vrah už nie je vrah???? A ktorú hranicu Poľska chcete chrániť??? Tú terajšiu alebo z roku 1938??? A pred kým. Veď Poľsko je v NATO.  A Ukrajina čoskoro tiež.

So a pardoned murderer is no longer a murderer???? And which border of Poland do you want to protect??? The current one or from 1938??? And before whom. After all, Poland is in NATO. That Ukraine soon too.

Please post in English!

Very few people in here can read Czech or Slovakian.

He is deliberately posting in either Czech or Slovakian knowing full well few people in here can read it.

Aidan.

I hope you can use it.

Yes we can! But do you expect all of us to have to translate it again and again, instead of you just once? Just basic civility …

Just call me Bram

Oh! And do read my profile page before you open a swap ...

If you leave politics alone, I will not comment at all. I didn't start politicizing and mentioning Belarus and Russia. I just wanted to point out the one-sided, distorted view of these countries. For numismatics questions, I will always use a changer.

Wow, this was an interesting post. It seems Peter has unsubscribed, I think thats 1-0 to Hibernia!

Stan, Peter has finally done one & disappeared - especially after his postings in Czech or Slovakian caused offence to some people here, me included.

I can read & speak a smattering of German - but not Czech or Slovakian though.

Aidan.

I mistakenly believed that numismatists are mostly reasonable and gentle people. How wrong I was. Honor the exceptions, but I don't want to have anything to do with the restricted. That's why I unsubscribed and will do it again. But permanently.
