Coin Germany – KM # A101 - 1 pfennig 1949 J [solved]

6 posts • viewed 159 times

Hello,

I'm Zwilly, and this is my first question on the Numista forum, (and hopefully not my last...)

In the Numista catalog Germany - KM# A101 - 1 pfennig - 1949 J, there are two variations regarding size and position of the letter “J”:

die A: letter “J” larger and higher, and die B: letter “J” smaller and lower.

In my estimation I have a third variant in my possession, namely letter “J” bold and highest. See attached picture.

My question: can/may I add this third version to the Numista catalog?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

that's a good one! Bravo with the find.

Do you mind to send the corresponding year side images, so we can verify your findings?

Of course you can add your variant, once verified. You can easily do that yourself.

It'll be Die C😉

Hello,

Today i saw that 'my' variant (die C) has already been added on the respective page in the catalog. It can't be faster, i think… 🙂.

So I would like to thank you for your cooperation in this topic.

So my first post on the Numista forum has ended successfully, and I am convinced that more posts will follow soon.

Kind regards.
