Hi everyone,

I'm looking to expand the outings section on Numista, and I'd love for you to add your local coin shop (or any coin shop) to the map! First head to the outings section,  and check whether the shop you would like to add is already there. If its not, that's fine, that means you can add it!

To add a shop to the outings section, click Add an outing and fill the required information:

  1. The name of the shop
  2. The type of what your adding is: shop, fair, expo, auction…
  3. The address of the coin shop

None of the other information is required but is greatly appreciated!

I'm excited to see the outings section expand, and I'm grateful for your help in building this registry.

Thank you,

 Stan (stancollects)

A very nice goal, but be prepared for a lot of modifications, why not suggest the “yellowpages” of each country, which is updated regularly!

I’ll start with mints and Central banks because there are a large amount missing and I’ll need to investigate further on others because some central banks don’t even mention their currency.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I have just added the lovely little old fashioned coin shop in Leiden, The Netherlands. I always go there when visiting the Netherlands. Jaap who runs the store is a fountain of knowledge and a really great guy.

Ahoj.

Yes, nice idea.

I myself was looking for help where to buy coins in Rome and San Marino. Also use existing posts from the past from vacations and trips, as well as photos of the store with the permission of the owners and their business cards.

A store demo is always better than a thousand words:

Sorry for the stupide question but is there a possibility to add a picture of the shop when you register a new one ?

Always look on the bright side of life!

There's a place to add pictures at the bottom of the form.

Good idea although I suspect the list will get smaller as more dealers go online and dispense of the old bricks and mortar shops.

Yellow pages? I haven't seen one of those in years.

The last physical copy of Yellow pages (at least in the U.K.) was January 2018 I believe.

I agree, with the Internet and Social media becoming the most popular method of selling collectibles many don’t see physical shops as a viable option. But it’s not happening everywhere because there is still many places that haven’t adapted to have an online presence.

Where I live there aren't any coin dealer specialist shops but multifunction shops such as antique dealers who may or may not have a small/large selection of coins at the time, and pawn shops who only buy/sell bullion coins. Would these type of shops be welcome additions? I am very much attention to detail so specifics in the description will certainly be mentioned.

Hello, I am adding numismatic shops in my city (Barcelona, Spain) and I see that they are not published immediately. I imagine that they need to be previously reviewed before being published.

I have also seen that there is a numismatic shop in Barcelona that is in Numista but that no longer exists. I knew the owners and they closed the business a few months ago. How can an entry be deleted?
