Just wanted to share some of my new found joy  :D ....  I came home tonight with a nice haul from the monthly World Coin Show...

I picked up roughly 220 assorted world coins, many new countries and types for my collection, and a few special items off of my wish list too. <:D

There are doubles, and some that I picked up just for swaps, so they will be added to my exchange list.

Guess what I'll be doing for days to come........ Besides the happy dance.. B)

So many coins... So little time...
Our local (Largo, Florida) coin show on November 3rd was a real bust. However we do have the FUN convention in early 2013 which young Mr James Wolfe and I are planning to attend along with anyone else who can make it down here. I hear nothing but good things about it but I've never been able to attend the previous ones.

If I can walk away with even half the haul you have there I would consider it time well spent.

County gun fair in December too, I see a nice Lee Enfield or Mosin Nagant in my future.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
And I live in a country where coin shows are unheard of, and the one that actually happened turned out to be nauseating bullion coins.
Denn alles Fleisch, es ist wie Gras
Luck ducky!

Those coins would look so much better sitting in my house!  ;)

What a shame...... I don't know how I ever collected new and different coins, at drastically reduced cost, before I discovered coin shows..... Oh wait yes I do, the only way I could find new coins to collect was through those mail order "coins on approval" services... But those were overpriced, and even when I suggested what coins they should send me, they still sent what ever they felt they wanted to try and sell me...  :(

Oh and then came Ebay where I could sit for hours and hours, and watch countless auctions hoping to get a sweet deal on something... Umm wait, I still do that  :D  :°

With some negotiation that can be arranged :D .... Hey funny thing is I actually picked up some new Israel coins because for some reason I thought I remembered you wrote somewhere that you collected them... I could be mistaken, maybe it was someone else?.. But hey it's the thought that counts right?

I have 2 local monthly shows, and 1 big semi annual 3 day show, I try to attend when ever I can.. When I say local I mean within a 30 to 50 minute drive. There are a couple others, but these 3 shows are very popular and have Never disappointed me.. I always manged to come away with some great new addition(s).

I'm really stoked and can hardly contain myself because ALL 3 of them are occurring now  :8D  one week apart from each other... The one I went to on the 19th, then on the 23rd starts the big 3 day show, and another the 2nd of December..

I know exactly what you are talking about, since I live in the New York area, and I try to always attend those same shows. Maybe we can meet up?

Sounds like a plan..  I just finished cataloging the coins from my Sunday haul.. I added 229 new coins and 27 new countries to my collection just from that one show.... Looking forward to what I will find at the next 2  :)

Congratulations on your new coins.
