In Europe do people call euro cents “Euro cents” or “cents”?
In the Netherlands it is referred to as “cent”.
Most likely because centum means hundred or in this case 100 make 1.
Although my grandma still calls the money Mark and Pfennig, so who knows.
Edit: misread the question (memo to self don't do two things at once).
Germany: 1 Cent, 2 Cent etc.
SpookieIn the Netherlands it is referred to as “cent”.

The coins are inscribed ‘Euro Cent’, but there are many ways to describe them in the various languages of the Eurozone countries.
Aidan.
In France and in the French speaking part of Belgium, they call them centimes.
In Greece we say Λεπτό (leptó) which means thin.
In Italy people call them “centesimi” (cents).
Before the euro, the lira circulated and cents did not exist.
Entering the euro there was no need to call them euro cents, but simply cents.
