Custom fields

Would it be possible to add custom fields to one's collection?

Let me explain better: when I add a coin or banknote, I like to include information such as the origin of the item, its physical location in my inventory, and, for banknotes, sometimes the serial number. These fields are definitely a specific need of mine, but others might have their own needs.

I would like to be able to define, for example, a 'serial number' field for banknotes, and when I add a new banknote, this field would appear among the ones to be filled in.

I know and I use private comment. But when I store more informations, all in the private comment I obtain something like:

from:circulation;serial:xxxxxxxx;position: A1 F2 C2 R4.

And sometime I have also a comment like: it has a minor stain on the left.

I think it can be practic to have separate fields.
