Offline cataloging

7 posts
Hello all,

I have been looking for a way to keep track my banknotes. Does anyone know of a freeware program or other inexpensive program that is available?
I'm looking for a program that I can include obverse and reverse pictures and add cells for information as needed. A way to separate them into country, era, and sub-sets would be preferable, and I would like to be able to keep it offline.
A general organizing program will be fine as long as I can do all or most of the things listed above.

Any ideas?

Thanks
excel or colnect

I have had problems getting pictures set the way I would like them on excel. Maybe, the version that I have isn't right for the job, or more likely the user is not so good with the program z)

And colnect is an online program, isn't it?

I am looking for a setup much like numista's catalog. Were I can search by picture on one edge, and then look at the information as needed. I'm looking for an offline program so I can use it to compare, on site as I shop, condition. A lot of times internet isn't available.
I found this page.  It has a few numismatic programs

Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
I'll give them a try. Thanks
Using excel you could store the pictures of your banknotes in a folder on your computer and put a hyperlink from each of your entries in the spreadsheet to the pictures in your folder.  That way you wouldn't need the actual picture in the spreadsheet.
I recommend   exactchange  software

if you contribute to exactchange  software with HIGH quality image .. they may give software free of cost.
