Oh God I feel dumb, swap coins grade. How do you show swap coins grade

All this time I just used the grade for my collection. When I could be putting my swap coin in there too. So everyone would know my swap coin grade. I was just putting my swap coins grade in comments. Just one more thing I have to fix. I have over 3000 coins I will have to grade and put in right. Am I the only one who missed this. I am only done with the letter A though E right now - have the rest of my collection to update. It's going to take a long time to get my collection in order.

Edit: To make things even better I just put my collection in the F area. Now I have to start all over with A, all the countrys names that start with A. And the other 25 letters. And do it all over again.
It is, what it is, or is it.
People most have thought I was nuts. Like East Timor 1 centavo KM# 1 2004
My collection 1 in f
2 to exchange in comments 2 in xf
 When they are all XF
Makes me look like I don't know what I am doing. I was just going too fast, happy. For my own good. What's the old saying do it right the first time. It may be easyer to dump all my coins and swap coins and start over. :x
It is, what it is, or is it.
You know I am thinking it may be good to go to my  your coins and remove everything and start over. I have learned so much. And do it right and the way I want it. I will have to think this over.
It is, what it is, or is it.
I am doing it - I am removing everything and starting fresh. So don't freak, out I am still here.

Ha, nice monologue. I too have made a similar mistake but here it was when I didn't understand grading very well: I now feel I know it better but am loathe to change all of my VFs!
In my swap list, I treat VF as a default: the grade is indicated in the personal comment field, and if there is no grade there, it implies VF ('normal quality').

That could save you some maintenance effort on your swap list!

This is on my profile page:
In my duplicates list, you can find information on the grade of coins in the personal comments field, right of the //. In the first place, this is the grade (if not VF), but also damage is mentioned there, and occassionally, some special swap wishes. If there is no grade mentioned in the comments, the grade is VF, 'normal'.
Thank you for your kind words. Anyone else on how they show the grades on their swap coins?

ok i put my first coin back in. An Afghanistan 5 AF. 1340  1961 Km#955. I put in as XF

Ok but now it say my collection is 4 coins and i have only two different coins in and two of the Km#955  for swap. That is really going to jump my collection higher in numbers.

you know this is going to look odd. My map is going to fill in a, b, c ,d , etc.

That happens when quantity for a coin has been removed, but forgot to also remove comment.
I think that do not spend too much time updating the grade of every swap coin. It can be talked and negotiated during swaps.

I am not even too sure of grades myself. So i just always say that all my coins are circulated and only add comment if they are either very worn of UNC or XF.
Other than that they are just somewhere in the middle.
Most people just need to know if its UNC if they collect UNC only, most others when it is in VF condition at least for circulated in, thats what would be enough.
We can always aak id need extra info.

Yes - as your collection is visible (143 coins, 13 countries) there are indeed some coins in there with no quantity in either collection or exchange, but there is still a comment on there. So delete the comment and wait until next day for it to clear itself. Here they are ...

There are quite a few !

To show what I mean, here is an image of part of your page, where 10 coins are shown; all have a row of 0 quantity and all have the speech bubble at the end of the row, which shows there is a comment you typed in there previously (but so far have not removed). So the number of lines is showing more than the coins you are re-entering (by about 20 coins I reckon).  :)
Don't be so hard on yourself. I've done similar. I grade coins on my list both ways, because people usually ask for pics or condition of the coins anyway.
Thank you ZacUK - it takes a lot longer than I thought to find everything. I am going to work this weekend and try to get everything.

Dear johnspa - I put in my collection too fast and had mistakes everywhere. Had proof coins under F and some coins not even listed. I was swapping what I thought I need, when I already had them. Thank you for your kind words. I am going to get it done, and right. It's going to take some time. But I will be a lot more happy with it.
            Thank you all   yours daryl

I make my collection viewable and list all of a particular coin.I have a lot of slabbed coins in my collection that are not  to swap but also have the same raw coins to swap. In the exchange column I list the number I have to trade and then comment on if traders are raw or slabbed and condition/grade. I also research my coins values and include those in the comments as well.
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything
Well I am in the E's now. 1397 coins 563 types and 63 countries. Stop work on my swap list. But hope to have in by winter.
