Your favourite purchases of 2015

Since we're not a really winding 2015 down I thought it might be nice for everyone to show their top 3 of the year.

my top two were the Bank of England Dollar with the clear 8r undertype, 1821 Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel 24 Mariengroschen George IV Regent and the George (IV) as UK regent but also wolfenbuttels.

My favourite three ...

I had to create the page for the second item as it was not already on here; and have not yet worked out what the undertype is on the reverse (with a cog wheel now overstamped with Britannia).

EDIT: Having said that, I thought I may as well have a look now to see if I can find it. There was nothing around the same year, but in 1813 there was this ...

which is also Irish (the 1816 token, commemorating 1814, has a harp on Britannia's shield). So in 1816 the 1813 token could have been overstamped - there is traces of a Y letter at the top and some of a beaded border lower right. Though mine is a penny token 33mm and the 1813 shown above is only a halfpenny 28mm; but it is a close match nonetheless.

But now found the same design was used for both halfpenny and penny ...

Hmmmm, that's a tricky one, so many nice coins.

I'll have to include a NZ trade token so maybe this one

I picked up some nice US coins this year including this Barber quarter

And for my third one, I'd say the communion token from the church I was married in because it has sentimental significance (and I got it for 20% of the catalogue value)

My two favourites from you guys' selections are the penny token that's clearly over struck and that Milner token I've always wanted one :)
I'm new to Numista so I thought I would go with these "purchases"....

1. One of My Goals, Canadian Tokens
NS-1D3 Nova Scotia Half Penny Token

BTW Mark240590, your tokens make me green with envy.

2. Another goal, foreign country...
Uruguay 2011 KM#136

Obverse is the world's largest rodent (Capybara) and reverse is quite detailed and conservative (I like).

3. Commemorative
Fiji 2013 Year of the Snake with Adventurine Stone

I call this my "stupid" coin to remind me that you can always pay much more for something that really tickles your testicles. It is a nice design, 1 oz. of silver, and having spent some time working with industrial minerals this coin must have tickled something.

Continuing Peter's theme of the coins with the "foreign" inserts, here are two of my favorite Canadian coin I acquired in 2015:
one with the insert of mokume gane (special layered metal for jewellery making):

and one with the insert made of genuine Canadian jade:
