Just this morning I made my first harvest of asparagus. So yummy it never got to the house. It occured to me that I dont have a coin with asparagus on it...I have a number of coins with edible plants and animal themes...might make a good exhibit at a coin show. Who has coins that would fit this thread?

Is the lady on the pre euro coins also sowing grain? The USA has a beautiful design of a sower reminiscent of that beautiful motif..

That's why we call her The Sower (La Semeuse). Notice the stylized equivalent in euro coins.

And notice the original design is really old, as can be seen in the original silver edition:

Medal celebrating a jubilee of the agricultural association from the Kingdom of Hannover:
I searched Google for coins with asparagus. Lo and behold there are many recipes with asparagus coins. You can make them in your kitchen.
That was the only reference that came up but maybe if you look in a cornucopia on a coin you might see one. There are many coins with a cornucopia.
That was witty!
