I have bid in other sites and there is always something like 18% paid by the buyer... but probably they take a cut from both ends...

Wow, that's pretty hefty. I guess you're paying for the fact that because they are a reputable auction house then all the serious buyers will be there and you should get a decent price.

exactly this..
coins like this on ebay wouldn't attract the same clientele. In fact I believe it wouldn't achieve half of what it's worth following this route.. there's been instances where I've opted too head to heritage or baldwins and not only for their inventory just the fact you know your coins pukka.

Some VERY nice pieces you have there Apuking, I may have to make a call to
Shame about the commission though, you are probably going to have to give them around £3k- £4k if they realise their true price.
Its a hard hit but how much do you pay to get the right buyers involved ?
