I'm doing some work on the New Zealand catalogue at the moment and I'm trying to track down what New Zealand KM#134 is. I suspect it's probably a mule because that's usually what they are when I have trouble tracking them down. Can anyone enlighten me?
No longer listed in Krause (checked as far back as 8th edition), nor on numismaster.com

checked 3rd 2009 and 11th 2017 editions, and couldnt find it among the 50cents or 5 dollars where I'd suspect it be due to case with ref#s before and after it. you can check NGC they might have it there - if it exists.

There seems to be a large chunk of KM#s missing between KM#150 and KM#235. I've tracked down some of them, but there's still lots missing.
and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. that's not strange at all. Krause misses lots of #s in different countries. In some cases, these are coins assigned a different number later on (could be 134 became 133a for example), and in some cases there are coins moved to Unusual with X#s. And in many cases the numbers are just missing.

PS: Only case I could track down valid unlisted KM#s is for some early coins late 1500s were they have been assigned KM#1-3 and can be found in NGC only but not in Krause since they chose the cut-off to be the year 1600

It seems like they sometimes reserve a range of numbers for certain years for countries that issue a lot of commemoratives, so if they have to add coins they missed earlier, they don't have those years' numbers jumping all over the place.

It's really bugging the obsessive/compulsive part of me, that likes to have everything complete and in order, but I guess I'll just have to add any coins I can track down and leave the rest :(
Threads like this always show one single outcome. Inevitable Numista superiority over Krause, which will happen at some future point.

I found the same issue with the Norwegian catalogue of Krause. Many KM# numbers are missing, which makes referencing a mess! They don´t even have a KM#1 reference! (8

You'll probably find that the KM#1 is some obscure pre-cursor country to Norway
Y'all are beating up on a numismatic treasure! Lol. I guess it must be some phantom Lord of the Rings coin.

No - it is not - I saw that coin too when looking when this topic started, then I saw on
the search page that is is from Niue not New Zealand.

Yeah. That's why I edited my wrong post.
