Shouldn't Burma be a section even if it is under Myanmar? It was Burma for forever...and now its Myanmar for a day? I hope we can honor Burma...we honor BES...Seborga...Sealand... got to go feed my Myanmar python, I will talk later.

I know all information from Burma...For Burma, it will be better to call "Burma" before the British Rule.
As that time the name officialy for Myanmar was "Kongbaung Administration" and it can't be called "Kingdom of Burma" which seemed awkward so that is why the name "Burma" had been used that time.
Regarding, as a section for Myanmar, Burma will be rightful to add.
So, welcome "Burma"

There should be 3 main sections;
Kingdom of Burma.
Republic of Burma (1948-89).
Republic of Myanmar (1990 onwards).
The Konbuang Dynasty was the last dynasty to rule Burma until 1885,when King Thibaw was dethroned by the British.
Arakan's coins should be listed as well.

Burma definitely gets my vote.
If the Numista site can include Lundy as a micronation, then Burma has a thousand times more reason to be there.
Coins of Lundy were illegally produced and should be totally deleted, whereas Burma is known to everyone.
Please do all you can to bring Burma back, and also to remove Lundy.

Does it look better now, a bit at least?

It does look better within the listing. But it needs to also be corrected in the countries and issuers. all of these things should not be buried under the modern designation.

I am confused with "Kingdom of Burma", it must be the "Konbaung Rule." n not kingdom of Burma.

ps: bbcode parsing is so broken on Numista. This looked fine in preview/edit mode, but whatever tweaks Xavier made broke it. Press Quote to see what I meant...

I travelled to Myanmar many times, and there were no stable kingdom. So a {COLLECTION OF Dynasties}in Myanmar must be called Kingdom of Burma and for a certain rule there must be any specific kingdom like the Kongbaung Rule.
If it is for Portugal
- 1st dyansty - Libra
- 2nd dynasty - Libra
and for China - Tang dynasty, Ming dynasty, Qing dynasty, like this then why not for Burma?

It can be changed easily, not a big deal. I'm gathering info and opinions.
I was not sure what to call it. On Wikipedia it says:
Konbaung Dynasty
ကုန်းဘောင်ခေတ်
Kingdom
1752–1885
So anyway, I change it to "Konbaung Dynasty" ?

Quote: "Oklahoman"Burma needs to be in country list. Myanmar is.
And "Konbaung Dynasty" too maybe?
From wikipedia:
"Today part of
Myanmar
Thailand
Laos
China
India"
Anyway, that's for the admins to decide. I believe they are discussing more issues about the country list nowadays and few more changes shall be made soon. I will ask about Burma.
Nevertheless, the currencies work will be helpful when the country will be separated (hopefully) so that's 1 step done, and a temporary solution within the current listing for now at least.
