Wrong Large/Small D on buffalo nickels

Most probably the article

in the year distribution has the bug.

Instead of
1934 D 7,480,000
1935 5 8,264,000
1935 double die reverse; rare
1935 D 12,092,000 large "D"
1935 D small "D"

there should be

1934 D 7,480,000 small "D"
1934 D large "D"
1935 58,264,000
1935 double die reverse; rare
1935 D12,092,000

Despite of been scarce, it is recommended to start with small "D" in 1934 for it represents the change of the size chronologically. The small "D" was in 1917-1934 and large "D" in 1934-1938.

Came across the 1935-D Large/Small D on Numista when trying to add my buffalo nickels to my collection.

I've never heard of this variation before and I looked it up. I found the same info as cyprusalexander.

A change of mintmark size occurred in 1934, not 1935. See here: http://www.varietyvista.com/03%20Buffalo%20Nickels/Denver%20Mintmark%20Styles.htm

All 1935 nickels have the large mintmark.

I agree with the recommendations cyprusalexander posted three years ago.
